End of the Year meme

1. What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before?
Started my own business for reals! Experienced a tropical storm!

2. Did you keep your New Year’s Resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
No, but I make resolutions all during the year. And I have lots. Starting with getting back on track with exercise. eep those jeans are a wee bit tight!

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Wendy to our nephew (Lucky) Lucas 07-07-07!

4. Did anyone close to you die?
My gran. :((

5. What countries did you visit?
Dominican Republic.

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
A house! (I'm working on it....)

7. What dates from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
All of it- it was a great year!

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Starting my business and making more $$ than I did at my "work for somebody else" job. :))

9. What was your biggest failure?
Knitting 2 socks on one circular- argh.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No way!

11. What was the best thing someone bought you?
hmmmmm

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Foufi- she's a trooper with her diabetes injections

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Can't think of anyone at the moment.

14. Where did most of your money go?
New computers. I heart my mac! and mortgage of course.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Running, and working. I know, but i love my job!!

16. What song will always remind you of 2007?
a song from the marie antoinette soundtrack but i can't remember what it's called...

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

a) happier or sadder? Happier by far!!

b) thinner or fatter? Thinner and still a work in progress but getting there.

c) richer or poorer? About the same.

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Travel. Not take any crap from anybody & speak up for myself. Be a tough business lady with select delinquent clients.

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Complain. Cutting my hair.

20. How did you spend Christmas?
With my family, very quiet.

21. Did you fall in love in 2007?
Already in love! ha!

22. How many one night stands?
none-duh! what a dumb question.

23. What was your favorite TV program?
I love tv way too much. But love Pushing Daisies, Big Love, ANTM, Project Runway, How to Look Good Naked(awesome show!), LIttle Britain, and of course, Coronation Street.

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
I wouldn't say "hate" but "strong dislike" comes to mind in a couple of cases. But I'm trying to see the good in them.

25. What was the best book you read?
Finally got to read a whole book- the Gum Thief by Douglas Coupland- excellent as always.

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Getting a record to cd recorder and finally hearing my fab old records. yess!!

27. What did you want and get?
My own business. Fab clients. Happiness and a non-stressy job (for the most part). Can you see a trend here?

28. What did you want and not get?
hmmmmm I guess not meeting my final exercise/weightloss goal but I will. i'm just going a bit slower than expected.

29. What was your favorite film of this year?
I can't remember. Must have been a good one huh?

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 37, and did nothing. and that's what i wanted.

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Nothing- I had a great year! no complaints.

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
Comfy and a bit too slobby. working at home does that to you. slippers as work shoes will never disappear though.
another resolution- dress myself a bit better.

33. What kept you sane?
Vodka. no, just knowing i was doing what I always wanted to do and working towards more goals and making more goals. and knitting!

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I love Queen Latifah. she rocks!

35. What political issue stirred you the most?
Unfortunately I don't really follow the issues. I guess i should.

36. Who do you miss?
Kim & Helena. and of course my gran.

37. Who was the best new person you met?
Denise! Alia! And all my fab clients new & old!!

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007?
Stay true to yourself and your heart, follow your dreams and make them happen.
Be nice and treat people with respect and kindness.
If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
